Organization Background

"My friend's son received an autism diagnosis at just two years old. Struggling to cope, her husband swiftly divorced her following the news, leaving her to raise their son alone. Fortunately, her parents

stepped in to offer support in raising the child. Through this experience, my friend accumulated invaluable insights into caring for an autistic child. Motivated by a desire to extend this support to others, she established a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding autistic children in China. Aware of the resource deficiencies plaguing non-profits in China, I've been actively involved in fundraising efforts for this organization for several years. Recently, my daughter has also become engaged in these effort.”

“During school breaks, I've dedicated time to assist my mom in fundraising for this cause. Additionally, while volunteering at a local nonprofit in New York's capital region, I encountered numerous

Chinese families with autistic children who lacked access to support networks and resources. Witnessing this need firsthand inspired me to create a community where these families could share resources and find emotional support. Encouraged by my mother and counselor, I resolved to turn this vision into reality.”

“Upon hearing Guiqing's friend's story, I felt deeply compelled to take action. As a mother myself, I empathize with the plight of less fortunate children. Proposing the establishment of a non-profit organization to support the cause in China, I also aimed to leverage

my expertise and connections in both China and the U.S. to create a platform for sharing best practices in autism support. Thus, Emma StarPoint Autism Support Network Inc. was born."
